I believe in Rise because I have witnessed firsthand the community this ministry can build between women who start out as complete strangers and end up as sisters. Rise creates spaces where women feel free to be authentic. What more could you ask of a women’s ministry?!

I spent the weekend with 20 women [for Rise’s 2018 trip to the Festival of Faith and Writing]. I am so impressed with the way Holly Stallcup leads and ministers to women.
She works hard to listen, learn, & do so that things are accessible to all women - including fat, disabled, women of color, and poor.

Priscilla's daughters

We want women attending seminary to feel seen, valued, supported and empowered as they pursue God's call on their life, so we're launching Priscilla's Daughters in order to create shared spaces and connections for both current seminary students and women who've already completed their seminary degrees.

Through Priscilla's Daughters, women seminarians can connect for discussion and resources through a private Facebook group, build relationships through an annual retreat and participate in our Guide program which pairs current seminary students with women who have completed seminary.

In the Guide program, Guides will become a partner and support for their seminary student. Whether that is through praying for them, sharing used textbooks, sending a care package, proofreading papers or simply being a listening ear and an encouraging sister. We are also offering the option for women of color seminarians to request a WOC Guide as we know that walking through seminary as a WOC is a unique experience. We're asking both seminarians and Guides who sign up for the program to make a year-long commitment.

To sign up for the Guide program, click on the appropriate button below. If you have any questions, please contact us at priscillasdaughters@nowsherises.org.

Sign-up for current seminarians has now closed. It will be reopened for the spring semester.
